Canadian Lifeboat Immigration Program for Hong Kongers

This is the new pathways especially for Hong Kong youth. Recognizing the talent and skills many Hong Kong students and graduates can bring to Canada’s economy and workforce, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is announcing a new initiative to allow eligible Hong Kong residents in Canada or abroad with recently completed post-secondary studies to apply for an open work permit, which may be valid for up to 3 years.

Applications will be closed on 7th February, 2023

Program features:

Simple application, No work experience required
Work visa for up to 3 years, flexible processing time for permanent residency applications
If one person applies, their spouse or partner and children can also benefit

Requirements:

Age 18 years old or above who is Hong Kong residents holding HKSAR or BNO
A minimum 2-year college diploma or university degree from a Canadian college, or university at the same level overseas in the first 5 years of application

Application Procedure:

Job matching based on the applicant's resume by Canadian headhunting company
Assist applicant to get the working permit once she/ he get the job offer
After the applicant has worked for 1 year in Canada, she/ he is eligible to apply for PR
